Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his birthday, describing him as “a dependable hand in nation-building” whose experience and commitment to public service continue to contribute to Nigeria’s development.
In a statement issued by the Katsina State Government on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, Governor Radda praised Shettima’s record of public service, particularly his leadership in Borno State and his current role supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the administration of the country.
Radda said the Vice President’s calm disposition, understanding of national issues and ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds had remained valuable qualities in the discharge of his responsibilities at the national level.
The governor also commended Shettima for his attention to issues affecting Northern Nigeria, particularly efforts focused on security, agriculture, investment and creating opportunities for young people.
According to Radda, the demands of national leadership require patience, sound judgment and a willingness to serve beyond personal interests.
He added that Shettima had continued to draw on his experience in contributing to the development and progress of Nigeria.
“Governor Radda, on behalf of the Government and people of Katsina State, warmly congratulate the Vice President and wishes him more years of fruitful service to Nigeria,” the statement said.
