Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to attracting both local and foreign investors, declaring the state open for business and positioned as a secure destination for investment.
The governor made the declaration on Sunday at the Government House Chapel in Abakaliki while briefing residents on the outcome of his nine-day official working visit to China.
Nwifuru described the trip as successful, saying the state delegation held high-level meetings with strategic investors aimed at boosting Ebonyi’s economic and infrastructural development.
“The outcome of our visit to China was very fruitful. It was by the grace of God that we were able to achieve so much during the tour. We were warmly received by the provincial governments of Hunan and Jiangsu,” he said.
According to the governor, government officials and business leaders in China expressed strong interest in investing in Ebonyi, a development he believes will accelerate the state’s economic growth.
He attributed the administration’s achievements over the past three years to divine guidance, stakeholder collaboration and the continued support of Ebonyi residents.
“We are not perfect, but we pray for more grace to keep pushing in the best interest of our state. It is God’s grace that has protected and guided us. With your prayers and practical support, we have made tangible progress,” Nwifuru said.
The governor also dismissed political speculation ahead of the 2027 general election, assuring residents that his administration remains focused on delivering its development agenda.
“The wheel of governance is running smoothly till 2031. Let us not worry unnecessarily; let us continue to trust in God,” he added.
Nwifuru reiterated that his government remains committed to creating an enabling environment for investment, economic expansion and sustainable development across Ebonyi State.
