Inter Miami have completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Casemiro on a free transfer following his departure from Manchester United.
The Major League Soccer club announced on Wednesday that the former Real Madrid star has signed a contract running until the end of the 2027 MLS season, with an option to extend his stay until June 2029.
The club said the transfer remains subject to the approval of his P-1 visa.
Casemiro said Inter Miami’s long-term vision and ambition played a key role in his decision to move to South Florida.
“What motivates me the most, and I think this is true for every player, is winning and continuing to grow. The project the Club presented to me, along with the effort everyone made to bring me here, means a lot to me.
“I’m incredibly grateful, and I can’t wait to get started so I can repay that trust—not only during the 90 minutes on matchday, but every day in training as well.
“All I can say is thank you, and I’ll give everything I have to return the affection and confidence the Club has shown me.”
Inter Miami Managing Owner Jorge Mas described the signing as another step in the club’s drive to compete at the highest level.

Club co-owner David Beckham also welcomed the Brazilian midfielder, describing him as one of football’s proven winners.
“I’m very proud to welcome Casemiro and his family to Inter Miami. He is a person and a player that I have admired for a long time. He is a winner who has achieved so much in the game and after such an incredible career with Real Madrid and Manchester United, I’m delighted that he’s decided to make Miami his next home.”
The 34-year-old leaves Manchester United after three seasons, during which he won the English League Cup and the FA Cup.
Before moving to England in 2022, Casemiro enjoyed a highly successful spell at Real Madrid, winning five UEFA Champions League titles, three La Liga titles, three FIFA Club World Cups, three UEFA Super Cups, one Copa del Rey and three Spanish Super Cups.
He made 336 appearances for the Spanish giants, scoring 31 goals and registering 29 assists.
On the international stage, Casemiro has earned 91 caps for Brazil, winning the 2019 Copa América and representing the country at the 2018, 2022 and 2026 FIFA World Cups.
During the 2026 World Cup, he started all five of Brazil’s matches, scoring once in the Round of 32 and providing an assist in the Round of 16.
His arrival makes him the latest marquee signing as Inter Miami continues to strengthen its squad.
