Kano Delegation Visits Radda Over Death of Musician Kosan Waka

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, received a delegation from the Kano State Government on a condolence visit following the passing of renowned Katsina-born musician, Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari, popularly known as Kosan Waka.

After visiting the late Kosan Waka’s remains at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Kano, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf directed the delegation to accompany the remains to Tsanni, Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, for burial.

The delegation, led by the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa, visited the Government House, Katsina, on the directive of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to sympathise with Governor Radda, the Government, and the people of Katsina State over the loss.

Governor Radda appreciated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the delegation for the condolence visit, describing the gesture as a reflection of the longstanding bond of brotherhood, unity, and mutual respect between Katsina and Kano states.

The governor prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, the people of Batagarawa Local Government Area, and his admirers the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa, said they were at the Government House on the directive of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to convey his condolences to Governor Radda and the people of Katsina State over the passing of Kosan Waka.

The delegation also prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the late musician eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus and comfort his family and loved ones.

The delegation included the Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor on Religious Affairs, Sheikh Usman Salga; the Special Adviser on Tsangaya Education, Gwani Musa Falaki; London B; and Alhaji Bashir Danfullo.

Other members of the delegation included Alhaji Tijjani Faraga, a Kannywood elder; Abubakar Sani, Chairman of the Abba Gida Gida Singers Association; and Tima Cool, Coordinator of the Abba Gida Gida TikTokers.
