Chelsea’s new ownership group has pledged to compete for major trophies and build sustained success after Clearlake Capital assumed full control of the Premier League club.
In a statement published on Chelsea’s official website on Thursday, the new ownership group thanked outgoing partners Todd Boehly and Mark Walter for their contributions and said the club was moving forward with “a shared sense of purpose, clear direction and confidence in what comes next.”
The group outlined its ambitions for Chelsea, saying, “Our ambition is clear: to compete at the highest level, to win major trophies, and to build sustained success.”
It also emphasised the importance of Chelsea supporters, describing them as “the heart of this Club” and its “true custodians for over 120 years.”
“While we hold the responsibility of ownership, this will always be your Club,” the statement added.
The new owners identified success on the pitch as the club’s top priority, committing to competing for the Premier League and other major trophies.
The group also said it would continue strengthening Chelsea commercially to support consistent investment in the team while pursuing long-term infrastructure plans.
“We will keep working to move Chelsea forward, together,” the statement concluded.
