Radda mourns NAF jet crash victims in Ondo

Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has expressed condolences to the families of victims of the Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash near Igbokoda in Ondo State.

In a statement issued by the Katsina State Government, Radda described the incident as a painful loss to the nation, noting that the officers died in active service while on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos.

The governor expressed solidarity with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigerian Air Force and the Government and people of Ondo State following the crash.

Radda also supported President Tinubu’s directive for a thorough investigation into the cause of the incident, saying lessons from the investigation should help prevent similar occurrences.

He commiserated with the President and Commander-in-Chief, Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke; the Ondo State Government under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa; and the families of the 25 passengers and seven crew members involved in the incident.

The governor assured the Armed Forces of the continued support and solidarity of the Katsina State Government and people.
