Residents of Amaegbu Akaeze in Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State have been forced from their homes after a fresh flash flood submerged the community early Wednesday morning.
Families reportedly fled with their children and salvaged belongings as floodwaters swept through the community, worsening the hardship caused by a similar disaster just a week earlier.
The latest incident occurred exactly one week after a devastating flood ravaged Amaegbu Akaeze last Wednesday, leaving residents struggling to recover from the damage.

As the situation escalates, a joint delegation from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) is scheduled to visit the community today to conduct an on-the-spot assessment and facilitate immediate relief operations.
NEMA Director-General, Zubaida Umar, is also expected in Ebonyi State today to oversee emergency response efforts.
