The wife of Katsina State Governor and founder of the Pledging Aid Charity Foundation (PAC-F), Hajia Fatima Dikko Radda, has reaffirmed her commitment to cancer prevention and equitable access to care as she participates in the World Cancer Congress 2026 in Hong Kong.

The three-day congress, holding from September 24 to 26 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai, is organised by the Union for International Cancer Control in collaboration with the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society.

Speaking on her participation, Fatima Radda said she would use the global platform to highlight efforts in Katsina State to support cancer patients and promote early detection, particularly among women and vulnerable communities.

“Through my foundation, PAC-F, we have continued to bridge the gap in awareness, screening and support for cancer patients in Katsina. The World Cancer Congress gives us a global platform to share our experiences and learn best practices in prevention, treatment and health equity,” she said.

The congress is expected to bring together more than 2,000 researchers, clinicians, policymakers, patient advocates and health ministers from over 120 countries to discuss multidisciplinary approaches to cancer control.

The CPD-certified event features plenary sessions, workshops and networking platforms, including the Innovation Hub and Spotlight Stage.

Fatima Radda said PAC-F would continue to align its interventions with global efforts to reduce the burden of cancer and improve access to care.

She added that the foundation remains committed to ensuring that cancer patients, particularly those in vulnerable communities, are not left behind.
