Several worshippers were reportedly abducted after gunmen stormed a mosque during Friday prayers in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.
The attackers reportedly invaded the mosque while worshippers were observing Juma’at prayers and took an unspecified number of people away.

A month later, gunmen attacked three communities in the area — Tunga-Makeri, Konkoso and Pissa — killing at least 32 people and abducting an unspecified number of residents, according to police and local sources.
Another attack was reported in Pissa in June, where suspected bandits allegedly killed three people and set several houses ablaze.
The recurring attacks have heightened concerns over the security of communities in Borgu and the wider Kainji Lake area.
