Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise has reportedly expressed his desire to join Real Madrid, with the Spanish giants expected to explore a move after the FIFA World Cup.
According to French newspaper L’Équipe, the France international told his national teammates during the tournament that he wants to leave the Bundesliga champions and continue his career at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The report said Real Madrid are already aware of Olise’s interest and could begin discussions after the tournament, although Bayern Munich remain unwilling to sell the 24-year-old.
Olise is under contract with the German champions until 2029, but is reportedly keen to take the next step in his career with a move to Spain.
France and Bayern defender Dayot Upamecano has reportedly attempted to convince his teammate to remain in Munich.
Despite the speculation, Bayern president Herbert Hainer recently insisted the club has no intention of parting with the winger.
“Florentino Pérez can save himself the trouble of making an offer for Olise; we do not want to sell,” Hainer said.
Olise joined Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace and has quickly become one of the club’s most influential attacking players.
The report also suggested that a potential move for Olise could reshape Real Madrid’s squad, with speculation that one of the club’s current stars could make way.
Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior have both been linked with uncertain futures, with reports citing Bellingham’s alleged strained relationship with Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius’ unresolved contract negotiations.
However, neither Real Madrid nor the players involved have confirmed those claims.
Real Madrid have also not commented publicly on the reported interest in Olise.
