Reactions Following The Sam Larry Alive Crash Reports
Akin Abolade, aka Mr Lilgaga, an associate of popular socialite Samson Eletu, known as Sam Larry, has debunked rumours that the socialite, recently involved in an auto crash, is dead.
Abolade disclosed this while speaking via Instagram on Monday, saying Sam Larry was involved in a fatal crash but is alive, noting that he spoke with him just a few hours after the incident happened.
The socialite and music promoter was reportedly hospitalised following a road accident along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road in Lagos State. The crash, which reportedly occurred in the early hours of Saturday, involved the vehicle conveying Sam Larry and a trailer.
A viral clip that emerged on social media showed the scene of the accident, indicating that the vehicle collided with the trailer, leaving it extensively damaged. The crash also reportedly claimed the life of Sam Larry’s bouncer, simply identified as Wale, who was said to have died at the scene.
The incident gained public attention after comedian and master of ceremonies, Mario Wazobia, shared posts on Instagram calling for prayers for the music promoter. In one post, Mario Wazobia wrote, “Pray for Sam Larry,” while another claimed that the music promoter had been taken to hospital following the accident.
However, there have been several rumours that Sam Larry is dead and that his legs are badly damaged, with the possibility that they may be amputated.
Clarifying the rumour, Abolade said, “Yes, he’s alive and not dead, but his condition cannot be ascertained because of how bad the accident was. We spoke after the accident. He’s alive, and I’m sure of that.”
The associate could not verify the veracity of the information that his legs were badly damaged and that they may be amputated.
